To tell you the truth I can't remember mom camp. I know my mum told me stories when I was very little, but I haven't got a lot of memories of that. What I do remember, surprisingly, as a "flash memory" is watching Moonlighting in my parents' bed and not wanting to go to bed because I was watching it..

More than anything I remember talks with my grandmother in her bed before going to sleep. She would put the radio on and I asked her loads of questions about anything I could think of, from silly things to existential questions..

With my daughters I do have more of those moments from the mom camp now, to be honest, more now that they're teenagers, than when they were little. What Manuela likes the most is sleeping with me. When my husband's not at home or something hurts or she's nervous about something, we always sleep together. When I have insomnia I also really like sleeping with her. Telling us intimate stuff while we're hugging each other, which sounds very idyllic, we really enjoy it..

As much of a cliché as it may sound, there's nothing more beautiful in the world than waking up to your child’s smile and playing for a while before getting up. I’m very lucky because I love breakfast in bed and my husband prepares breakfast for us on the weekends. That moment when the four of us are together is my favourite..

I think it's been a massive influence, we need these moments of calm and it’s a tradition that makes these types of links grow stronger. Now that they're teenagers, I think that in part these moments have made us have a trusting relationship, as well as making us genuinely enjoy each other's company.
