1 take-away recipe and 3 unforgettable places for a picnic
Because summer is for having a blast.

Picnics always involve good times with friends. The beach, city, garden... anywhere is a good spot! That’s why we want to show you 3 different Mediterranean-inspired destinations for a picnic. Because summer is for having a blast.
Fegina Beach in Monterosso al Mare, Italy
Crystal-clear water, matching parasols and spectacular views: that is Monterosso al Mare, one of the five towns that make up the Cinque Terre string of centuries-old seaside villages on the rugged Italian Riviera coastline that have been given UNESCO World Heritage status. Located to the east of Liguria and looking like somewhere straight out of an Italian summer post card, you can enjoy an incredible picnic on its famous Fegina Beach. Don’t pretend that doesn’t sound like a wonderful idea!

Jardins du Pavillon de Vendôme in Aix-en-Provence, France
If you are looking for a more stately setting like something from the silver screen, then you need to go to Aix-en-Provence, a town in the French region of Provence with incredible cultural and architectural heritage. More specifically, we recommend that you visit the Pavillon Vendôme art museum, an imposing construction from the 17th century. Surrounded by spacious gardens, you will have a hard time deciding exactly where to have your picnic. Don’t forget to take a lot of photos!

Jardín del Turia in Valencia, Spain
Obviously, we couldn’t not recommend somewhere in our city. The Jardín del Turia that was once a riverbed is our favourite place. Some of the main monuments and museums in the city can be found along the length of these gardens, while the City of Arts and Sciences stands almost where it meets the sea. Anywhere here is a good spot for a picnic!
