Viennese coffee is a classic of European tradition that combines the strong taste of coffee with the smoothness of whipped cream. Using a milk frother will allow you to easily recreate its creamy texture.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup 240 ml of espresso or strong black coffee.
  • 1/2 cup 120 ml of whole milk (you can use plant-based milk if preferred).
  • Whipped cream (for decoration.)
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar or sweetener (optional.)
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon or cocoa powder (optional, for decoration.)

Instructions

  • Prepare a cup of espresso.
  • Pour it into the cup where you will serve the Viennese coffee.
  • Pour the milk into your frother and select the program to heat the milk.
  • If desired, in addition to heating, use the frothing program.
  • Slowly pour the milk over the coffee, allowing the foam to accumulate on top.
  • Top with whipped cream and sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon or cocoa powder over the cream.
  • Serve immediately while hot. Pair with a small treat, like a cookie or a piece of chocolate, for a complete experience.
