If you’ve also seen that video that shows you it’s cheaper to buy a whole chicken and carve it at home than buy it in pieces, then this is the recipe for you. In this case, you don’t need to carve the chicken before preparing it, as you can do so once it’s cooked.

Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken (be careful, it must fit the basket and not touch the heating element)
- 1 lemon
- 2 tbsp butter or EVOO
- Rosemary
- Salt
- Honey
- Potatoes as a garnish.
Instructions
For the potatoes:
- Place the potatoes in a bowl
- Add a dash of oil and salt and stir well so that all the potatoes are coated. Place them in the basket on the chips programme.
- Halfway through cooking, open the basket and shake it. Close it again.
For the chicken:
- In a bowl, mix the honey, salt, juice of one lemon and butter or oil.
- Coat the chicken with this mixture on both sides and pour the remaining lemon juice inside the chicken carcass.
- If you like, you can place a few pieces of butter under the skin of the chicken to make it crispier
- Place the chicken in the air fryer basket and programme at 200°C for 35 minutes.
- Turn the chicken halfway through cooking.
- Once done, serve the chicken and pour the sauce that has been released into the basket on top.
