We know that most people probably think of lentils as the dish we get given when we go home. A dish that makes you feel the warmth of home and embraces you from the inside. The truth is that making a good lentil dish is no easy task. But there’s no need to worry, because our rice cooker will help you make lentils like your grandma.

Ingredients
- 175 g soaked pardina lentils
- 1 peeled and chopped carrot
- 0.5 peeled and chopped onion
- 1 peeled and chopped tomato
- 550 ml water
- 1 diced potato
- 1 concentrated stock cube
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon of sweet paprika
- Salt
- 15 ml extra virgin olive oil
- Fresh chopped chorizo sausage
- 2 cloves of garlic
Instructions
- Switch on the rice cooker and start heating it up
- Meanwhile, chop the garlic and onion.
- Add a splash of oil and leave it to heat. Then add the peeled and chopped garlic, onion and tomato for about 3 minutes.
- Add the (previously soaked) lentils and stir for a few minutes.
- Add the carrot, potato, water and stock cube.
- Stir to mix well.
- Put the lid on the rice cooker and set to “Stew”. After about 20 minutes, add the bay leaf, paprika, chorizo sausage and salt to taste.
- You can add more water to the lentils while cooking if they start to look dryer than you would like.
- When the programme finishes, serve and enjoy.
